Have you ever observed a couple in love walking hand-in-hand, their faces glowing with excitement, totally unaware of their surroundings?
You and your spouse have been together for a while. The demands placed on a couple in the 2,000's have taken a toll on your relationship. Your relationship is in a rut. You want desperately to bring back the "zing" of your first encounter together.
Why not try a few things to put your relationship back where it belongs.
· Plan a special outing or adventure for just the two of you (no kids, pets, or family allowed).
· Make reservations for a weekend retreat at a relaxing hotel or spa.
· Pack a light dinner, blanket and drinks and visit an uncrowded place for some one-on-one time (No cell phone or other distractions allowed)
· Compose a love letter or love poem even if writing is not one of your talents. Keep the words simple and heartfelt. Express how you feel about the other with words like, "You are the only woman for me". I want to grow old with you. You make life worth living." These little expressions of love we say to our spouse are what counts the most
· Take a walk together hand-in-hand just like the couple you are envious of. You can do it!
You would be surprised to find out that simply putting into action what you wish your love relationship was will revive that less-than-exciting romantic relationship.
