The oatmeal bran chocolate chip cookie recipe has a rich, hearty flavor, that also packs a lot of nutrition!
Ingredients 2 sticks (1 cup) salted butter, softened (1 cup margarine can be substituted) 3/4 cup granulated sugar 3/4 cup packed brown sugar 2 eggs 1 teaspoon vanilla extract 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour 1 teaspoon baking soda 1 teaspoon salt 2 1/2 cups quick-cooking oats 1 package (11 1/2 ounces) milk chocolate chips ( 1 3/4 cups raisins can be substituted) 2 cups chopped walnuts 1 1/2 cups All-Bran cereal
Hardware Whisk Large bowl Medium bowl Cookie sheets Mixer
Step 1: Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Step 2: In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt; set aside. Step 3: In a large bowl, cream butter and sugars with an electric mixer set on medium-high for 30 seconds. Step 4: Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Step 5: Beat in the vanilla extract. Step 6: Add the flour mixture to the creamed mixture. Step 7: Stir in the oats, chocolate chips, chopped walnuts, and bran cereal. Step 8: Drop by tablespoons 2 inches apart onto ungreased cookie sheets. Step 9: Bake for 12-14 minutes or until lightly browned. Immediately transfer cookies to a cooling surface.
Makes 75 cookies.
