QuickLabel Systems has announced the release of a new software package called Color QuickLabel 99. The package enhances the printing capabilities of the QLS series of color and monochrome label printers. CQL 99 engages the built-in microprocessors of QuickLabel Systems' printers, allowing them to rapidly execute a myriad of complex functions.
Major features of CQL 99 include WYSIWYG imaging, object-oriented halftoning, cut-and-paste compatibility with Windows design programs, database printing, flexible networking options, and label design in a true Windows editing environment,
Finished artwork can be imported to CQL 99 from any Windows design program, and then printer output is optimised by assigning an individual halftoning method to logos, illustrations, photographs, and any other graphic element of a single label design.
CQL 99 speeds up printing from multiple databases to variable fields including text, graphics, and barcodes from MS Access, Visual PoxPro, Paradox dBase III and IV, HTML, Excel, Lotus, simple text, ASCII and all ODBC-compliant formats.
Queue file print management simplifies label production. The user can recall and print any label job at any time, and multiple label jobs can be printed without resetting or reloading by setting the print order for queue files in advance.
