Oh the fascinating world of internet marketing or should I say the frustrating world of internet marketing. All of us that are connected to a MLM, affiliate program or home based business, or what ever you want to call what your doing. It all comes down to fact that we are all faced with the same challenge. How do I advertise effectively? Right! I'll be the first to admit I'm no expert but I have had lot of experience at doing it wrong and have discovered some good ways. There are so many ways to market your product. Email, safe lists, pay per click (ppc), pay for view (ppv), pop up, pop under, surfing for hits, viral and the list goes on. man that's enough to frustrate you there. Where do I start oh yeah lets group these methods. Let's group surfing for hits, safe lists, email and viral. Let's label the group A. Pop ups and pop under group B. ppc and ppv group C. The reason I grouped these this way. They pretty much accomplish the same thing. Group A: They do exactly what they are designed to do. Send an email so they will send you an email so you will send the an email ect. Surf for hits and viral get you to look at their site so you will look at their site so you will look at their site ect. The thing in common here is they are promoting a product just like you. So now you have sent out 100's of emails and looked at 100's of sites of 100's of people that don't care. Just like you don't care about their product. Have you noticed how many of these sites there are. Group B: Has any one had any luck with this? Pop ups and pop unders are just one more thing to click off your screen. When they first came out people didn't expect them and would stop and read them. Now all of the major ISP's have pop up blockers and there is a multitude of places on the net to obtain one. I do use pop unders on my site and I do get occasional sign ups and leads from it. But it works like this the pop under doesn't have anything to with my product. I found a site where the majority of the advertisers sells vitamins, makeup and other products that are similar. The way it works every time the pop under appears on my site then my page will pop under on one of their sites. It's not a big generator but it works and it's free. Group C: This is my bread and butter. I believe that to succeed you have to spend money to make money. What business in the real world that is successful don't advertise and spend money on advertisement. Pay Per Click: Find a great catch phrase for the title, a short eye grabbing ad that will have them running to join. Find the most used, most expensive keywords and your done right. Just about everyone agrees with that right. I don't and here's why. It's not cost effective. If someone clicks it cost you money and most of the time it's pure curiosity is the reason they click. Not because they are looking for a program to join. So how do you make it cost effective? Here's how I do it. I am an affiliate of Global Domains international (GDI). My ad reads in adwords like this. Your own web site. Domain name, hosting, 10 email accounts 7day trial. Not very exciting of an ad is it. The thing is when someone clicks my ad they are looking for a web site of their own. It is targeted don't you agree. Which would you rather have click your ad a tire kicker or some who's interested. My present campaign I have spent $12.13 and have 3 sign ups and 14 quality leads. Keywords should be directed at your product. For example website, hosting, domain name and for an extra measure work from home would be good keywords for the ad above. Quality not quantity is best here. Bidding on keywords that are the most expensive is not best. Sometimes using a less expensive keyword can be just as productive. Pay Per View. This can be a costly affair or a profitable venture. If you take the time to read how to set everything up on the ppv website and you do it that way. Guess what it's going to be costly. They know what makes them money and that's the way they want you to set it up. You can turn this type of advertising to your favor and make it very profitable.First you want to set your campaign to your web page that will catch the viewers eyes. Give them a reason to read your page. Second make sure you set the country section where you want your viewers from. You don't want someone in BFE to view your site if it's only available in the U.S. Third set your bid to the lowest bid. Remember if they don't show your site they don't make money. They will show it. Fourth is your keywords make them fit the website you are sending them to. Don't use generic keywords all you will get is tire kickers. Remember quality not quantity.
