The Oakland, Athletics, in first place of the AL West, are 11-5 in their last 16 games. Last season the Athletics were seven games out of first place prior to the playoffs. The Athletics have a winning record at home going 30-26. Also, the Athletics are winning on the road going 32-26. The Athletics have a record of 23-14 against the AL West. They are 4-5 against the Rangers and 4-6 against the Angels.
The Los Angeles Angels, in second place of the AL West, are 11-10 in their last 21 games. The Angels have a losing record at home going 27-28. However, they have a winning record on the road at 32-28. Last season the Angels were in first place prior to the playoffs. The Angels are 17-17 against the AL West.
