If you're a Christian entrepreneur, here's how to make your life easier. Base your business on biblical principles; understand that your success depends on it. Here are some tips from the Bible to make your Christian home business an awesome success.
Proverbs 21: 23 - Watch what you say! "Those who guard their mouths and their tongues keep themselves from calamity."Â So are you saying that if I'm careful about how I say things, my business will thrive? That's exactly what the Bible promises us. When you are upset with a customer or a supplier, control your temper. Treat them the way that you would want to be treated. They will remember this, and will reciprocate this goodwill in the future. I am related to a Christian businessman who ran a newspaper printing facility for many years in eastern Canada. He provided his customers with exceptional service, and as such, rarely lost a customer. His most profitable years were during the recession in the eighties. Treating your customers and suppliers with respect can have an incredible impact on your Christian home business and allow it to endure during tough economic times.
Proverbs 21:29 - Be a giver! There are two types of people in this world; givers and takers. I'm a taker! A prominent businessman proudly said this to me a few years ago. Many businesses embrace this way of thinking as they believe that it boosts their bottom line. Here's what the Bible says about this. "All day long they crave for more, but the righteous give without sparing." This verse tells us that most people spend their time trying to get things from others, when they should be looking for ways to give. If you want to succeed in a Christian home business your must be a giver. Give your best to your customers, even when it seems that you will not gain anything in return. This goes against conventional wisdom, but it works. Implement this principle and watch your home based business soar.
Don't sabotage your Christian home business by trying to run it your way. Keep God first and consult His business manual on a daily basis. This will ensure your success.
