There is a training approach growing popular among business owners right now to improve business quality. Six Sigma, a business training program, is a combination of management strategies developed into a program with the goal to improve the outcome of any business. The business goals can range from striving to provide the best customer service or to manufacture the best products. Six Sigma helps businesses eliminate any defects, or anything that may lead to customer dissatisfaction, and improve the overall business processes.

Some businesses may only focus only on the operational aspects of their business. Six Sigma training encourages business owners to ask, "What went wrong?" in each situation. It then pushes owners to evaluate their business's critical processes.

Six Sigma training revolves around three primary principles:

1. Business success is highly reliant upon reducing the amount of variation that you have in your business process. 2. Manufacturing and business processes have characteristics that can be clearly measured, analyzed, controlled and improved upon. 3. Achieving sustained quality improvement is the result of the entire organization working together for a common goal, especially onboard need to be the members of top level management.

Six Sigma training creates a role for every person in the business to help implement a business goal. This creates the feeling of teamwork and unity and also gives value to each employee within a business. It emphasizes strong and passionate leadership and support within the business.

Any business, large and small, customer service oriented or product manufacturing oriented, can become Six Sigma certified. The training is used to improve productivity and increase the bottom line for a business. Six Sigma gets everyone working together towards one common business goal: improving the quality of the business.

Businesses can find online and onsite Six Sigma training and Six Sigma certification. There are a variety of levels of certification available, including Green Belt, Black Belt, Master Black Belt, Champion and Lean Six Sigma certification.
